EMDR therapy is a powerful evidence-based approach where we will work together to uncover negative core beliefs while desensitizing the intense emotions associated with them and reduce distressing symptoms.

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation such as eye movements and tapping, to reprocess “stuck” memories, events and negative core beliefs. The memory remains, however the negative associations with it are lessened or alleviated.

EMDR consists of 8 phases
1) History taking
2) Learn skills to effectively manage emotions & any types of disturbance
3) Preparation for reprocessing
4) Bilateral stimulation sessions (eye movements, tapping, audio reprocessing sessions)
5) Closure
6) Re-Evaluation

Together we will work to challenge negative beliefs, while rebuilding positive associations that will reflect in your mind and body. Symptoms of anxiety, guilt, shame and fear will be lessened or gone.
